Here is my CV
About me
I am a PhD Student advised by Prof. Dr. Yasemin Acar at Paderborn University, Germany (perviously at The George Washington University and Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy). My research lies in the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, Security, and Privacy. I am predominantly interested in helping developers and organizations navigate security challenges, and ethical dilemmas they face during development. Besides that, I study security and privacy mental models of users (using qualitative and quantitative methods and social media analysis), particularly in the context of geo-political changes. I also research societal issues that resonate deeply with me. I have published and won awards at top-tier security and HCI conferences (USENIX, IEEE S&P, CHI, CSCW, and SOUPS).
I also worked at the usable security lab at the George Washington University and collaborated with Prof. Dr. Lucy Simko on research around geo-political changes. I have also worked with Prof. Dr. Sascha Fahl at the CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security, Hannover.
Before my PhD, I worked in the health-care industry for three years as a UX Researcher and Designer. I also have experience in visual and physiological perception research in the automotive, and lighting industries. I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering from Anna University, India and a Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction from TU Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
